Dilip Chhabria is working on an electric sportscar, which is said to be the successor to the DC Avanti, according to a trusted media report.
The 2022 DC electric sportscar is likely to be based on the TCA concept which was introduced at 2018 Auto Expo. The name TCA stands for “Titanium Carbon Aluminum” and it could go on-sale sometime in 2022 with a price tag of around INR 40 lakh.
Dilip Chhabria, founder of DC Design has stated in his recent interaction that an electric powertrain being built in Switzerland will be based on the TCA electric sportscar. The upcoming car’s frame and exterior are finished, and the interior and lighting are still in the works.
The 2022 DC TCA electric sportscar would gain 5 per cent GST as an EV, compared to 53 per cent for the Avanti that is why even if the costs are high, the TCA production-model would end up costing the same. The company has plans to sell the new TCA to international markets.
