The GCC-Spec 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 (facelift) has been spotted waiting for dispatch at a Japanese port.
The 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 (facelift) comes with a redesigned chrome grille with a chrome bar in the center. The SUV is equipped with twin-pod headlights and a new dual-tone front bumper with a chrome insert. It comes with side steps and a sunroof as well.
Inside, the Land Cruiser is expected to have a digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment head unit and features such as wireless charging and driver assistance systems.
The Land Cruiser is currently being offered with 3 petrol engines (4.0L V6, 4.6L V8 & 5.7L V8) and 1 diesel engine (4.5-litre V8). On the next-gen 2022 model, the diesel engine could be replaced by a turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 engine, and 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine too is likely to be discontinued to meet stringent CO2 emissions. The SUV could also have a hybrid powertrain options.
The 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 (facelift) is believed to be the last model of the current generation. It’s rumored to be called the ‘Final Edition.’ The Japanese manufacturer is preparing a comprehensive update for the Land Cruiser, which will arrive sometime next-year as 2022 model.
There is no word on Indian launch of the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 (facelift) and is unlikely to be launched here anytime soon, as this facelift too features the same outgoing models engine that does not comply with the new BS6 emission norms. Thus, we have to wait for the all-new model, LC300 or 300 series model, which will be introduced by end of 2020 or early-2021.
