2021 Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV gets an updated infotainment system and faster charger.

The 2021 i-Pace will come equipped with a 11kW onboard charger as standard. Jaguar revealed that it will be replacing the 7kW one seen on the current i-Pace. It is reported that the new charger will give a range of 53 km when kept charging for an hour.

This will mean that a charging time of 8.6 hours will be reportedly required in order to fully charge the electric SUV. Other than that, the 2021 i-Pace will get an updated version of a 12.3 inch instrument system to go with it. The 2021 i-Pace will come with a new 3D surround camera, giving a 360 degree digital view of the surroundings.

Range for the Jaguar i-Pace’s 90-kilowatt-hour battery doesn’t change for 2021, meaning the EPA-rated figure should match the 2020 i-Pace’s 234 miles (377 KMS) of range.

The electric motor of the vehicle is coupled to a 90 KWh Lithium-Ion battery pack. This motor as a whole makes 395 BHP of power along with 696 Nm of torque. The total driving range of the 2021 i-Pace will be upto 377 kms on a single charge.

Jaguar claims that the vehicle can acheive a top speed of 200 kmph and reach the 0-100 kmph mark in just 4.8 seconds. When launched, the vehicle will rival the Mercedes-Benz EQC and the Audi E-Tron, both of which are scheduled to launch this year. The presence of the three will create a healthy competition in the electric SUV space, which will be an exciting one to watch.
