Chevrolet unveiled three new vehicles for car lovers in the Middle East at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show. Although Onix is the region’s brand new nameplate, Captiva is a favourite returning band, released in 2020. These vehicles will add fresh energy to the Middle East line-up of Chevrolet. The display was led by the 2020 Corvette Stingray, making its regional debut, bringing new levels of performance, engineering, craftsmanship and luxury to the 2020 line-up of Chevrolet.

2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray
Building on the nameplate’s boundary-pushing tradition, the 2020 Stingray is Corvette’s first ever mid-engine to hit the very height of technology. For conventional front-engine vehicles reaching the highest output limits, Chevrolet engineers moved the Corvette’s very heart: its engine. Now, sitting like a jewel in a showcase, when equipped with Z51 performance package, the 2020 Stingray packs the fastest 0-60 time of any Corvette entry ever at less than three seconds.
The 2020 Stingray is powered by the 6.2L Small Block V8 LT2 engine of the next generation of Chevrolet, the only naturally aspired V8 engine in its segment. When equipped with performance exhaust, it will produce 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque— the most horsepower and torque for any Corvette entry.
The 2020 Stingray cuts a compelling profile inspired by modern fighter jets: sleek, muscular and unmistakably Corvette. The new location of the engine is the focal point of the project, visible through the large rear hatch window, projecting energy and a sense of motion from every direction.
The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will be released in late-2019 at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly and will be available from mid-2020 in the Middle East.
2020 Chevrolet Captiva
The all-new 2020 Captiva is a complete reinvention of its nameplate, building on the global experience of Chevrolet’s SUV to mark a new era for Middle East Captiva. The all-new Chevrolet Captiva is a car for every family that is constantly on the move with its state-of – the-art styling, life-sized interior space, high fuel efficiency and smart technologies.
Captiva is lean and muscular with a sharp and modern style. Available in configurations of five and seven seats, the Captiva encapsulates the SUV philosophy of Chevrolet: spacious, stylish and intelligent.
Captiva is powered by a 1.5L turbo-charged engine and 255 Nm torque to provide real driving pleasure and maintain an efficient fuel economy. In addition to being a good-looking car, the design of Captiva is designed to be safe and convenient as the car comes with a host of active safety features and technologies to make it easier and more enjoyable for drivers to travel every day.
Captiva will be available in three trims and five color options from the beginning of 2020.
2020 Chevrolet Onix
The all-new 2020 Chevrolet Onix brings together stylish style, wide and comfortable interior space, advanced connectivity and active safety features to provide consumers with a brand new compact car cut above the rest. Onix 2020 also offers the best fuel efficiency and safety features in the class, including six airbags, standard for all trims.
Onix is youthful and energetic, embodying Chevrolet’s DNA style, with sleek lines and a modern, elegant body that speaks to its sporty personality. Chevrolet designers have concentrated on flexibility, designed to make life easier for the drivers, with a spacious, luxurious interior to make it comfortable for up to five passengers plus luggage.
With an all-new family of 3-cylinder turbo engines, both 1.0L and 1.2L, the 2020 Onix is fun to drive along with hyrda-matic 6-speed AT transmission to achieve excellent fuel economy. Onix also offers an enhanced electrical power steering system that has been specifically tuned to bring more confidence to the driver on the road.
The Onix will join the middle-east line-up in late-2020, which is available in three trims and two turbo engine variants.
Chevrolet also presented its extensive portfolio of accessories at the 2019 Dubai International Motor Show in addition to the new vehicle launches. From stylish styling options to performance maximization and practicality enhancement, consumers can easily improve their vehicle’s usability and usefulness to better fit their lifestyle.
