TVS Motors has launched yet another new special edition model of the Star City+ called the TVS Star City Plus Kargil Edition, to pay tribute to the spirit and attitude of the Indian soldier, which resides in every Indian citizen.
The Kargil edition gets white/green dual-tone colour scheme with camouflage graphics and ‘Kargil’ decals as a tribute to the Indian Armed Forces.
The Star City Plus Kargil Edition features a white/green colour scheme, camouflage body decals, brown seats and a ‘Kargil’ badging on the tail section which TVS says, denotes the indomitable spirit of every Indian.
The motorcycle is powered by a 109.7cc engine that makes 8.4 BHP and 8.7 Nm of torque. This carburetted motor is mated to a 4-speed transmission. Braking duties are done by drum brakes on both ends with TVS’ version of the combined braking system; the Sync Braking Technology (SBT).
There are no mechanical changes to the Kargil Edition of the TVS Star City Plus, the changes are purely cosmetic.
Priced Rs 54,399 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the TVS Star City Plus Kargil Edition based on the SBT (Synchronised Braking Technology) variant of the Star City Plus and costs a premium of Rs 1,035 over the former and will be available only in select dealerships for limited period till stocks-last, so in case you would like to get your hands on one, you better rush to a TVS showroom soon near-you.
