Benelli are all set to bring the next iteration of the TRK 502 here soon. Now it has been confirmed that the TRK 502 and the TRK 502X will be officially launched on the 18th of February this-year. The TRK 502 series is one of the most awaited litre-class motorcycles to be launching in 2019.
Benelli will be bringing the TRK 502 and the TRK 502X to India via the CKD route. Assembly of parts will take place at its facility in Hyderabad. The TRK 502 will be available with a semi-digital instrument panel, front and rear disc brakes, USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear.
It will come with features such as a luggage parrier, rear parcel tray and saddle stays as optional. ABS will be positioned as standard as per the new safety norms. The TRK 502 was first unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo and the production-spec version almost looks similar to the one showcased during that event.
Engine-wise, both the variants will derive performance from a 499cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing 47 BHP of power and 45 Nm of torque. It will be coming paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
Benelli is expected to price the motorcycle around Rs. 5-5.5 lakh (ex-showroom) price range while the TRK 502X would carry a premium of Rs. 30,000-60,000. The TRK 502 will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 while the TRK 502X will rival the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT in the Indian market. The TRK 502 series will be signalling a new chapter for Benelli in India, after their recent tie-up with the Mahavir Group.
