What do we have here? A black canvas covered mystery hatchback roaming outside Chennai. We know what it is, and you should to if you’ve been following developments of the Grand i10 facelift!
As per Hyundai Motor Company’s global strategy leaked report (image attached below) mentions that the ‘i10 facelift’ is scheduled for December-2016. However, the new report in AutoCarIndia says the launch is expected to take place in January-2017. Also there are reports that the company will launch the facelifted Xcent, followed by Grand i10 facelift in March-2017.
External changes are led by a wider front lower grille and revised front bumpers, minor tweaks to the headlamps along with boomerang foglamp enclosures. The rear gets a sporty new bumper and twin circular fog lights. The side profile and silhouette of the car remain identical to that of the current model, except the new 14-inch alloy wheels and black stickers on the C-pillars.
Mechanically, the Grand i10 facelift will carry forward the 1.2-litre 4 cyl petrol and 1.1-litre 3 cyl diesel engines from the current model.
