2017 Honda CB 125 Shine SP BSIV launched: Rs 63,173, AHO (Auto Headlamp-On)

Following the introduction of the 2017 model year CB Shine last-week, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) launched the 2017 Honda CB Shine SP with BSIV compliance and Automatic Head Lamp On (AHO).

The fresh new graphics get ‘SP’ inked on the fuel tank.

Apart from the BSIV and AHO which will become mandatory from 1st April 2017, as per Indian Government.  The updated CB Shine SP also gains fresh new body graphics, blackened-out side covers and new Honda-patented low rolling resistance tyres. Other noteworthy features include a mix of digital analogue instrumentation and optional Combined Braking System (CBS) with an equalizer.

With the mechanical update for 2017 model year, there has been a minor power drop of 0.41 bhp. The new Shine SP BS4 produces 10.16 bhp as compared to 10.57 bhp of the outgoing model at the same revs. Torque figure remains the same at 10.3 Nm (at 5500 rpm) mated to the same 5-speed gearbox which is the highlight of this premium motorcycle in the 125cc segment. The 2-valve layout remains the same and HET is applied to the engine.

A total of 6 paint schemes are on offer – Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic, Pearl Amazing White, Athletic Blue Metallic and Pearl Siren Blue. Prices for the 2017 Honda CB 125 Shine SP BSIV have been upped by Rs. 240, across the lineup.
