The highlight of Chevrolet’s booth at the 2016 Auto Expo is of course the Chevrolet Essentia compact sedan concept, which is supposed to enter into production next-year.
The all-new Essentia compact sedan will launch in 2017 for the Indian market. It will be underpinned by the familiar platform housing the popular Chevrolet Beat hatchback. Once launched will compete with the likes of Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent.
The Essentia compact sedan concept has been designed at GM’ Korea Design Studio. The car’s design has seen it travel from GM’s studio in India through to Korea. It will be produced at GMs plant in Gujarat and will also be exported from there.
General Motors India also showcased Chevrolet other cars like the Colorado pick up, Corvette Stingray and Camaro.
