2015 Yamaha FZ series scheduled to be launch on June 30!

The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese two-wheeler giant, Yamaha Motor India has scheduled to make a big announcement on June 30, 2014. The company has remained been tight lipped about the specific announcement that will be made on the early next-week, we assume it might be the launch of 2015 Yamaha FZ series of motorcycles – FZ and FZ-S.

After months of speculations and Spy photos, expect Yamaha India to unveil new Yamaha FZ-S version 2.0 that was previewed at the 2014 Auto Expo in the form of a near production concept. It will get redesigned headlight unit, clear -lens turn indicators, full digital instrument console, air scoops, split seats, fresh pillion grab rails, redesigned exhaust, new tire hugger and all-new tail light assembly.

While the FZ-S would get the additions like new body decals and new visor, the FZ would continue without these features. Few major parts like the alloy wheels, tyres, front disc and rear drum brakes, front telescopic forks and rear monocross suspension will be carried out from the outgoing-model. However, if introduced, technical update (EFI) will surely add at least Rs. 6,000-8,000 to its price tag, which will be worthy for increased power and efficiency.

Under the skin, the updated Yamaha FZ series will most likely be powered by same 153cc air-cooled engine, producing 14PS maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 13.6 Nm peak torque at 6,500 rpm mated to 5-speed gearbox; for the boost in performance. The company might introduce fuel injection with the version 2.0 with power tuning to enhance both the power and efficiency. At the moment, we don’t have any solid details about the powertrain.

So, for all those who are interested in booking FZ series now or this month, wait for few more days for you’ll be able the own the next-generation model!
