Already popular Renault Duster has gained more popular, since the launch of the top-of-the-line Renault Duster AWD. Now the Gaadi.com reader Mr. Harish Bharti has snapped the convoy of updated 85 PS diesel top-end variants – RxL (Plus) and RxL (Option) – of the Renault Duster at a dealership stockyard in Gurgaon.
The 2015 Duster borrows quite a few features from the recently launched Duster AWD.
Talking about the upgrades, the 2015 Duster 85 PS borrows quite a few features from the Duster AWD. The Noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) package on the engine bay in addition to an improved rubber seal for the doors which were first seen on the top-of-the-line Duster AWD. These updates are said to give the vehicle better sound insulation.
Further changes include the new steering wheel is chunkier than before, a new instrument cluster with white backlighting and a dedicated dial for the multi-information display (MID) and there is a steering column mounted audio control stalk. All these updates are in line with the AWD variant that the company launched recently.
The updated Duster gets a chunkier steering wheel and a new instrument cluster with white backlighting.A new beige shade for the dashboard, new fabric for the seats and door pads and piano black door handles is now featured which was earlier available as optional equipment. It is unclear whether they are now a part of standard equipment and also if these updates will be made to the higher variants of the 110 PS diesel version as well.
Overall, Renault India has improved the fit and finish and paint quality than before, after the made-in-india Dacia Dusters garnered severe criticism in the UK for a rust issue.
