Hyundai being the second largest car manufacturer after Maruti Suzuki in India is planning to launch the face lifted Hyundai Verna after the recent launch of the much anticipated Elite i20 in the Indian market. As per the reports obtained, Hyundai has pipelined most of the cars in 2015 which would mostly be a refresh rather than new models. Out of these, Hyundai Verna would be the first car in its list which is expected to be launched somewhere closed to first week of February.
The first car which will be launched in 2015 by Hyundai will be the updated Verna.
Rumors about the Korean Car maker Hyundai bringing in Solaris as Verna’s replacement is now proved to be false. The upcoming car would just be a refresh of the current version Verna. About the Solaris, reports suggest that it is a bigger car than Verna and would be launched by Hyundai as totally new car in its line up at the later stages in the Indian market.
Coming to the changes, the facelifted Verna will have the all new hexagonal grille at the front, new front and rear bumpers, advanced version of the Fluidic Sculpture design already seen in the recently launched Elite i20, new touch screen infotainment system and four air bags on the top end variant.
The Verna facelift would continue with its existing engine options.
Hyundai has updated its Verna in order to maintain a decent sales figure and also to cope up with the tough competition from the other recent launches such as Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the refreshed Honda City in the Indian market. Details regarding the technical specification updates if any is not yet revealed.
