2015 Honda CB Shine launched – subtle changes all around

Honda 2-Wheelers India has launched the updated commuter range for the 2015 model year all at once today, the commuter range comprises of the Dream Neo, Dream Yuga and the CB Shine 125 motorcycles.

Talking about the 2015 CB Shine, Honda has elected not to change much with the facelift, with slightly redesigned side panel and boasts new graphics and new body colour options, plus the visor, tail-lamp, re-designed tank, and new alloy wheels. The bike now also gets CBS (Combined Braking System) and Honda Eco Technology (HET).

The 2015 CB Shine comes with some unique first-in-class segment features like Combi Brake System (CBS), which is operated by the foot brake and applies both the front and rear brakes simultaneously. As far as Honda Eco Technology (HET) is concerned, it’s minor modifications made to the engine to increase fuel efficiency, without changing the structure or components.

The new CB Shine uses the same 125cc single-cylinder engine that produces 10 bhp of power and 11 Nm of torque and is connected to a four-speed gearbox that transmits the power to the wheel via a chain drive. As said above, the 2015 CB Shine is now equipped with HET for enhanced fuel efficiency. However, the company is yet to claim an efficiency figure for the updated model.

The 2015 CB Shine will be available in four colours including – Maple Brown Metallic, Imperial Red Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic and Black. Like the updated Dio, the 2015 CB Shine too will go on-sale in India by the end of March 2015.
