Already news about Yamaha developing a quarter liter bike has already been available over the cyber space from November last year. Yamaha also showcased the much awaited R25 along with special edition R15 featuring a black and gold livery, recently at the 2014 Auto Expo. However Yamaha R25 is still sometime away from getting into production in the Indian market.
As per the reports obtained recently, Yamaha had already started working on the third big upgrade for its R15. Not much days after this news, one of the sources of Yamaha has reported ZigWheels that the third big upgrade for R15 named “YZF R15 v3.0” would feature technical upgrades and some design changes scheduled to be launched in India next month.
Design changes in the upcoming third version of Yamaha R15 would include a new color option (a grey color), body graphics and a special edition. Coming to the technical specifications, v3.0 of R15 will be powered by a 150 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine incorporated with a new fuel injection system and an ECU remap producing a maximum power of 18PS at a maximum torque of 15 NM.
