The 2014 Fiat Linea has finally been launched after months spent in anticipation. The new Linea was first showcased at the Auto Expo held in Delhi earlier this year, and after a few test mules were spotted undergoing camouflaged testing, the Linea facelift has finally been launched in the Indian market. The Fiat Linea has always been a great car, it had the best-in-class safety features and also a few first-in-class features like Blue & me and now Fiat has gone ahead and made a few more improvements on the 2014 Linea.
Though there are quite a few changes seen on the new Linea, the engine options remain the same with the 1.3 liter MultiJet turbo-diesel engine powering the diesel version of the car and the 1.4 liter T-Jet turbo-petrol engine powering the petrol variant. While the Diesel engine has a max output of 91.7 BHP and 209 NM, the T-Jet petrol has a max output of 112.4 BHP and 207 NM. The Diesel returns around 13 kilomteres to the liter in mixed driving conditions and the petrol returns around 16 kilomteres to the liter.
The new design on the Linea looks very refreshing and elegant all around. The headlamp cluster has been redesigned, and so has the radiator grille and front bumper, the entire front fascia now has a pleasant tone to it. Chrome has been used in the right amount at the right places to lend the feel of elegance to the Linea. The tail-lamps too have been redesigned and so have the rear view mirror caps, other significant changes include redesigned alloy wheels.
