BMW has officially released the details and images of its latest M model – the BMW M6 Gran Coupe. While we’re not sure if the model will make its auto show debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, we do know that it will be going on-sale in May-2013. It is expected to come with a very heavy price tag of Rs. 90.89 lakh.
“The M6 Gran Coupe is made instantly unique among four-door vehicles by its bonded-in carbon fiber composite roof panel, similar to the one found on the M6 Coupe,” BMW said in a statement. “Between the doors is a cabin of sensational coupe-like design and first-class materials. The M6 Gran Coupe’s control placement and – equally important – control feel are second to none.”
Like the BMW M5 and the M6, power for the BMW M6 Gran Coupe comes from a 4.4-liter TwinPower Turbo V8 engine making 553-hp and 680Nm of torque. Mated to 7-speed M-Double Clutch Transmission (M-DCT), 0 to 100 kph comes in 4.2 seconds with a top speed that is electronically-limited at 250 kph.
