Maserati GranTurismo made its way into the market 5 years ago and it’s about time we get a redesign – well, it ain’t going to happen – not anytime soon at least. However, next month at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati will drop a new version called the GranTurismo Sport, which will replace the current GranTurismo S with a bunch of upgrades.
Looks wise, the model receives a functionally redesigned new front bumper that optimizes the front air flows for both engine and brake cooling. Buyers will also get a nice new design of the profile around the headlights with DRL Led technology. The rear of the Maserati GranTurismo Sport gets new taillights with a darker tone.
Under the hood, the Maserati GranTurismo Sport’s 4.7-liter V8 engine now good enough for a peak power output of 460Bhp from 434Bhp earlier.
Maserati entered India in early 2011, and currently sells three of its sports car models, the Quattroporte sports limousine, Gran Turismo sports car and Gran Cabrio sports convertible. All three cars are imported straight from Italy and prices range between 1.2 to 1.5 Crore rupees.
