BA reader know that Fiat India has big plans for the year 2013 and those plans are about to materialise in the coming few-months. The company will make a fresh start from April 1st 2013, the Italian car brand broke its ties with Tata Motors India and since then it is heading for creating an identity of its own. In this attempt, it has planned new cars, new independent showrooms and its separate sales and service channel cross the country.
The company will bring their performance cars, the Abarth branded cars and the American car marquee, Jeep to India this-year itself. Now folks at CarDekho report that Fiat India will introduce 2013 model Linea and Grande Punto with some cosmetic upgrades, they confirm that the 2013 Linea and the Grande Punto will be launched on the 10th of April.
Furthermore, they speculate some additional features on the Linea and the Grande Punto, but it will be more of a cosmetic upgrade. And as we reported earlier, there is a possibility that the 1.4-litre T-Jet will get a more powerful engine, and maybe the same mill could be used on the Abarth Punto as well.
Coming to the changes in the exterior, although not official we expect Fiat India to introduce the refreshed version of the both the models Linea and Grande Punto that is currently on-sale in international market. The 2013 Linea is already on-sale in Turkey and Greek, while the 2012 Punto too is on-sale in Europe.
