Noida-based Lohia Auto industries, the e-bike manufacturer launched the Humsafar three-wheeler at 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. The Humsafar will be offered in CNG and diesel variants and will have metallic colour options at a base price of Rs 1.3 lakh. This is Lohia Auto’s first foray into the commercial three-wheeler market.
The Humsafar is currently available only in a Euro III version. This one-tonne capacity 3-wheeler has got a ground clearance of 170mm and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 36kmpl. With the launch of the Humsafar, Lohia Auto now has four products in their portfolio, including their electric bikes – Fame, Genius and Oma Star which were also showcased at 2012 Auto Expo.
“We look forward to launch products that are highly competitive to the existing product segment. Humsafar meets Bharat Stage 3 emission standards. We are in the process of appointing dealerships across Northern India and we will be moving towards the South by this fiscal year itself,” Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto, said.
