Toyota’s are known worldwide for their reliability and great quality engineering. The Innova is the most selling large MUV in India, the Corolla and Camry are among the top sellers in their segments across the world and Land Cruisers are the most preferred vehicles to go dune-bashing in or to take on overland expeditions. People all over the world love Toyota’s and so do the people in Indonesia. Toyota is the current market leader in Indonesia and all their vehicles rule the sales charts, especially the MUV’s they have on-sale. Toyota’s light MPV/MUV, the Avanza rules the MPV segment and sales figures show that the sales of the Avanza are nearly double that of its nearest competitor, the Suzuki Ertiga.
The Honda Mobilio is expected to be launched in the Indonesian market in the near future, and this is expected to give the Avanza a tough time, and also, since the Avanza has been around for quite some time now, Toyota will launch yet another light MPV and extend its domination over the MPV segment. The new MPV will be positioned and priced at a more premium point than the Avanza and will be powered by the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol which is currently being used in the Avanza.

Will the new MPV make it to India? Only time can tell. But if they do decide the launch the new MPV here, it will definitely be a huge success and will see people queuing-up for it, because Indians have seen what the Innova can do and absolutely love it, and they will definitely love another MPV from Toyota.
