Just yesterday, we brought you the complete details of new Volkswagen Jetta facelift, today the company silently launched the same. The Jetta facelift is now available in three trim levels with price ranging from Rs. 13.7 lakh to Rs. 19.43 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Talking about the changes company has made various updates on both exteriors and interiors of the car. However, the mechanics remains the same on the new model .

The car looks similar to the outgoing model, the only visible difference is the new headlights and alloy wheels. The new headlights get the LED daytime running lights integrated, and features an Xenon headlights & headlamp washers on the top-end Highline variant. Also both the Trendline and Comfortline variants now features an all-new 16″ inch alloy wheels as opposed to 15″inch alloys in the outgoing car. The new alloy wheels called ‘Sedona’ gets a twin 5-spoke pattern.

On the inside, the new options include 12-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 60:40 folding rear seat, dual-zone climatronic AC, high-end Bluetooth-compatible music system, advanced digital instrument panel with multi-function display (MFD), cruise control and paddle shifters for the DSG gearbox. The Jetta also comes with rear parking sensors. In terms of safety, the facelifted Jetta now gets ABS, electronic stabilization program (ESP) and six airbags.

The Jetta facelift is available in both petrol and diesel. The 2.0-litre TDi diesel engine generates maximum power of 140 bhp with maximum torque of 320 Nm. The Highline diesel variant has option between six-speed manual and six-speed automatic gearbox. Trendline and Comfortline features six-speed manual gearbox. The 2.0-litre TDi manual comes with an ARAI-rated 19.33 kmpl fuel efficiency, while the auto gets a 16.96 kmpl rating.

The petrol Jetta is powered by 1.4-litre TSi petrol engine producing 122bhp and 200 Nm of torque. The petrol engine comes with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard and delivers a fuel-efficiency of 14.69 kmpl. In the D-Segment, the Jetta facelift will directly compete with the likes of Skoda Octavia, Toyota Corolla Altis, Chevrolet Cruze and the Skoda Laura.
