Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be on sale by mid-2012 and the company is busy working out all last minute details. Brochures of soon to be launched car are already leaked and it showcases the interesting external and internal features along with engine options. Ertiga marks the entry of Maruti Suzuki into the Utility Vehicle arena and Ertiga is their first offering in the MUV segment which is regarded as one of the fastest growing segments in the country.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga possesses a 1.4 liter VVT engine and Ertiga will be offered in both petrol and diesel options. Fuel efficiency in the petrol variant will be around 16.02 km per liter while that of the diesel variant will be of 20.77 km per liter.
Where external features are concerned Ertiga sports a grille which was also seen on Swift hatchback and the same applies to its headlights while its bonnet resembles the Ritz. In its interiors one can see its new twin AC, audio system USB Compatible and 4+2 speaker system with steering mounted controls. The Ertiga also has central door locking and keyless entry system with electrically adjustable mirror.
Engine details include a 1.3 liter DDiS Super Turbo diesel engine with power of 90 PS at 4000 rpm and torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. Diesel Ertiga offers 20.77 km per liter making it the top in its class where fuel efficiency is concerned. Prices will vary from Rs. 6 lakhs to Rs 8 lakhs depending on models.
