One of the most anticipated motorcycles in India – Kawasaki Z250 is now on-sale in India with 40 percent localized parts priced at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powering the Streetfighter is its liquid-cooled, four-stroke, parallel-twin, 249 cc 8v DOHC engine. This fuel-injected unit is paired to a 6-speed transmission, and sends out 31.54bhp at 11,000 rpm and 21Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm. The well tuned high rev engine comes mated to a smooth 6-speed transmission to allow quick shifting in the streets. Design of the bike is almost similar to the Ninja 300, however, being a naked sport bike, it misses the full-faired front and gets a ‘Z’ instinct.

The Kawasaki ER-6n is naked version of the Ninja 650 and gets the similar engineering and style apart from the full body front fairing. The ER-6n is localized in India to the tune of 25-30 percent and has been priced at Rs 4.78 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It sports the 649cc, liquid-cooled, DOHC 8-Valve, parallel-twin engine, which delivers 71.1bhp of top power at 8,500rpm and a torque upto 64Nm at 7,00rpm, using digital fuel injection. The ER-6n uses front telescopic shock absorbers, mated to a side-mounted monoshock at the rear. The ER-6n uses twin discs brakes in front and a single disc at rear.
