The Indian auto industry is seeing a lot of new cars arriving. This has resulted in fierce competition and spoiled the Indian car buyer over multiple choices in the same segment. Ford Motors who launched their hatchback Figo last year in India have increased their sales figures, thanks to the success of Figo.

Ford India has an aim to launch around seven brand new car models in the next three and a half years. At the unveiling of, Ford Fiesta, held in Bangalore, the Ford India gave a nod to the information that it will be soon launching new cars in India. If reports are to be believed, Ford India is presently putting all its efforts on launching Ford Focus just after the launch of brand new 2011 Ford Fiesta.

Globally, the sporty looking and handling Ford Focus comes with a range of engine options from turbo petrols to turbo diesels. In India, expect the Ford Focus with a 1.6 Liter EcoBoost petrol engine producing 150 Bhp and 240 Nm of torque, making for some very blistering performance even as turbo charging and direct injection also ensures that fuel economy figures are class leading, which is the aim of every Ford product produced under the “One Ford” design principle. The diesel engine could be the 2 Liter Duratorq unit churning out about 140 Bhp of peak power and 270 Nm of peak torque.

Vibgyor Vehicles showcased their existing range of motorcycles the Gallop, Hunter and Shark at the 2012 Auto Expo held in Delhi. They announced that they would be shortly launching 6 new variants in the market, which will include two scooters and four motorcycles. The two scooters will be in 100cc and 125cc categories and the motorcycles would have 125cc, 150cc, 225cc and 325cc displacements. The first expected is the 325cc motorcycle which will be launched next month. Saumik Deb, CEO Vibgyor vehicles was confident and said "We have an edge over the other varieties in this segment due to our affordable price and superior features; this is one overriding factor which nobody can reject at the outset". Already exporting in Nepal and Bangladesh, Vibgyor is looking beyond the Indian shores for dealerships.
