Recently there was news about the 2012 model’s brochure getting leaked and it definitely created a stir. Now we have the pictures of the 2012 Land Cruiser that is all set to be launched. The updated SUV which was earlier launched in 2007 has been revamped and refreshed and viewers can notice some aggressive changes to its exterior. For one, the upgraded Toyota Land Cruiser offers brand new front bumper, new headlights, new row of LEDs and new front grille with excessive use of chrome.

While its exteriors are exciting, it is the updated and enhanced features that were noticed in its interior which are even more exciting. The new and updated version has multi terrain monitors with four small cameras which relay road conditions to the screen mounted on the dashboard.

The 2012 Land Cruiser also has a multi terrain select system where drivers can alter traction control and brake settings as per road and off road conditions. Another feature added into the Land Cruiser is a turn assist sort of feature that decreases the turning radius of the SUV when manoeuvring at low speeds.

Under the hood the car still features the same old 4.6 Litre V8 engine that generates 318 BHP @ 5600 RPM of max power and 460 Nm @ 3400 RPM of peak torque. The engine is coupled with an automatic transmission and an all wheel drive system.

Land Cruiser 2012 will be on sale in Japan from the 6th of January 2012 onwards for a starting price of $56,500 while its European version will be seen at the Brussels Motor Show from January 12th to 22nd 2012.
