The new Jaguar F-Pace SUV for India debuted recently at the 2016 Auto Expo in Greater Noida, it shared the floor with the new XE, new XF and the new XJ which was recently launched in India.
The showstopper for Jaguar during the 2016 Auto Expo has to be Jaguar F-Pace. Designed like a sports sedan, it is bound to grab the attention of the visitors. It will hit the Indian car market in the second half of the year. When launched, the F-Pace will be on-sale as niche sports crossover that rivals the Porsche Macan.
The bold front grille and the muscular bonnet hint at the performance potential of engines like the 380PS supercharged V6. Elements such as slender full-LED headlights, forged 22-inch wheels and short front overhang carry the design vision of the C-X17 concept through to production. Despite its bulky look, the F-Pace is lightest and stiffest car in its segment.
The all-new F-Pace seats five occupants in absolute comfort. The interior is a perfect blend of premium materials and finishes, exquisite detailing, luxuries such as heated, electrically-reclining rear seats, and cutting-edge technologies including the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system and 12.3-inch HD virtual instrument cluster.
In India, the F-Pace will be on-sale in two diesel engine options: a 2.0-litre twin turbo Ingenium diesel engine producing 178 bhp of power and 430 Nm of max torque, while the other engine is a 3.0-litre V6 twin turbo diesel developing 296 bhp of power and 700 Nm of max torque. Both the engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It will receive both Rear-Wheel-Drive, besides All-Wheel-Drive variants.
The company will offer 4 variants of the F-Pace in India, namely – Pure, Prestige, R-Sport and First Edition. The Pure and Prestige trims ride on 18-inch alloys, meantime R-Sport rides on 19-inch alloys and First Edition comes with 20-inch wheels. The prices of Jaguar F-Pace is not yet announced in India, however, the crossover is on-sale in Europe, UK and USA at a price tag of $40,990.
