We have been constantly reporting about the all-new 2015 Honda City in recent days. After Economic Times revealed that the new Honda City will be revealed this-month officially, Siddharth V Patankar (SVP) News Anchor & Editor Auto @NDTV updated on his Car & Bike Show by NDTV Facebook page that the unveiling date is scheduled for 25th Nov. Now further adding value for the same, a trusted source at Overdrive claim that the new Honda City will be hit showrooms around March-April 2014 and could take the now-vacant place of the Civic saloon as far as pricing is considered.

The 2015 City will also be one of Honda’s stars and show stopper at the 2014 Auto Expo alongside new Jazz and Mobilio MPV. This new City will have major styling changes on both outside and inside, as well. Honda City moniker was first introduced in 1981, currently this C-segment sedan is in its fifth-generation. Very soon, a sixth-generation of the sedan will be introduced, which will not only offer better mileage, but will also offer a better performance package. However, the biggest change, or let us call it as an inclusion is the introduction of a diesel motor for the first time in City.

A few years back, Honda City was leading sales chart in it’s segment, but due to increase in petrol price, buyers started preferring diesel options like Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento. Surprisingly, last-month Japanese manufacturer only managed to sell 31 units of the City sedan in India, as compared to 3,976 units in September-2012. With only few days left for the launch of new Honda City, Honda dealers have already started accepting an unofficial bookings for new Honda City at the payment of Rs. 50,000 and also confirmed that the new diesel-powered City will be available, ever since the launch.
