The Yamaha Saluto, recently launched commuter motorcycle, gets new top-end variant equipped with a disc brake at the front and is priced at Rs. 54,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from the disc brake for better control, the Saluto gets four new colours options – Glory Green, Bold Blue, Dashing White and Majestic Red, with sporty graphics which adds to the dynamic styling. It gets silver-coloured grab rail, a long contoured seat, a headlamp cowl with a wind deflector, 18-inch black alloy wheels, a blackened engine and a black exhaust pipe.
Powering the Saluto is a 125cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, carburetor-fed engine that puts out 8.2 BHP @ 7000 rpm and 10.1 Nm of torque @ 4500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 4-speed gearbox and delivers a fuel-efficiency of 78 kmpl. It has a diamond frame, a telescopic front fork suspension and dual shocks at the rear.
The Saluto measures 2035 mm in length, 700 mm in width and 1080 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1265 mm, a ground clearance of 180 mm and a kerb weight of 113 kg.
