Yamaha Fazer 25 (Yamaha Fazer 250) – Rendered & Clearest spy pictures

Based on the FZ-25, Yamaha India has been working on its fully-faired version and now the same has been spotted on our roads, undergoing testing rounds. And we’re not sure if the company will offer ABS on this model or not, a question asked frequently 😛 !

The spied motorcycle is very likely to be called Yamaha Fazer 25 (Yamaha Fazer 250), the motorcycle features a semi-fairing that leaves the engine exposed, yet the design adds a sportier appeal overall unlike the touring style we expected earlier, however, the presence of higher-placed handlebars and a large windscreen makes us believe the motorcycle is tuned and designed for touring needs.

Apart from the full-faring, the Fazer 250 can be seen wearing same body parts as seen on the naked FZ-25. This includes LCD instrumentation, fuel tank, split seats, foot pegs, mud guards, alloys wheels, tyres, suspensions, disc brakes, side panels, rear profile, exhaust and rear tyre hugger. The full-faired Fazer 25 is expected to be launched during this festive season and will range about Rs 10-15k more than its naked variant.

Under the skin, the fully-faired Fazer 250 will be powered by the same 249cc single-cylinder air cooled fuel-injection engine which is found in the FZ-25. This motor produces 20.6 BHP @ 8,000rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Obviously, the faired version will be slightly heavier due to the fairing and slightly bigger handlebar compared to its naked sibling.

The 250cc faired Yamaha will be portioned in the upper category of the premium motorcycles and compete with the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and KTM RC200 (Honda CBR 250R production is halted temporarily). Let us know your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned for the full-faired Yamaha Fazer 250 reveal here soon.
