Homegrown two-wheeler manufacturer TVS has launched the ‘Race Edition version 2.0’ of its popular 200cc motorcycle the Apache RTR 200 4V. The 200 4V is a second motorcycle from the Apache range to get the ‘race edition’ treatment.
There has been talk of TVS launching the ‘Race Edition version 2.0’ of the Apache RTR 200 4V for some time. What turns out to be interesting is that the motorcycle will be available in a host of colour schemes. This includes grey-yellow, red-black, red-Matte black, black-red colour and graphics respectively.
As expected the bike features some updates from the current model on sale now. These include racing inspired graphics, slipper clutch and flyscreen. It will also feature a ‘Race Edition’ badge which will make it more attractive.
The Apache RTR 200 4V 2.0 will employ the same 197.75cc, single-cylinder four stroke engine seen on the stock Apache RTR 200 4V. This engine is capable of producing 21 bhp of power and 18.1Nm of torque. It will come mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
It is priced at Rs. 95,685 (ex showroom Delhi), which makes it a good performance package. Rivals include the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 and the Yamaha FZ25. It will come with TVS Tyres, but you may have to pay Rs.5,000 more for the Pirelli rubber, which in many ways can improve its performance.
