TVS Akula 310 (Apache RTR 310) dyno-tested – launch by July-2017

Following its first undisguised pictures last-month, the upcoming TVS Akula 310 popularly known as the TVS Apache 310 has been spotted again, this time during a dyno test.

TVS’s contender to the likes of the KTM RC 390, upcoming full-faired Bajaj Dominar 400 and the soon-to-be-launched Benelli 302R will be built on the platform which also underpins the G 310R. Underlying similarities with the baby BMW sibling, the TVS Akula 310 will be powered by the same 313 cc single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox in different state of tune, considering its sporty appeal.

On the G 310R, this mill produces 34 hp peak power at 9,500 rpm and 28 Nm torque at 7,500 rpm. Apparently, the motorcycle spotted here doesn’t feature any graphics on it and the bulbous fairing looks awesome in this matte-black paint shade. While at the back, those devil horn shaped LED tail lamp gives more proportionate look to the rear end.

With the flagship TVS motorcycle now in its last stages of testing, it is tipped to make a debut by July this-year. Meanwhile, check out our experience with TVS’s foray into the entry-level sports segment.
