Skoda had revealed the 2014 Skoda Superb facelift on April 3rd, a couple of months ago this year. Later whose production was started recently on May 31st. Being just more than a week after the production was started, the first ever test mule of 2014 Skoda Superb facelift was spotted by one of the reader, Sujay Soman of Autocar India.
The facelifted Skoda Superb will come with both exterior and interior modifications. The exteriors would comprise of a new front grille with the all new Skoda logo, modified front and rear bumpers, new fog lamps, new headlamps which would be featured with bi-xenon headlights along with integrated LED daytime running lights, new tail lights, new front fenders, hood and a new location for the rear number plate.
Apart from this, the exteriors would be featured with a new 4 spoke steering wheel, nine new fabrics and patterns, brown-ivory color combo interiors in the top end L&K variants, new gear levers and also the all new electronically adjustable front seats from the rear. It would also have automatic reverse parking system, Start-Stop and kinetic energy regeneration technologies in order to provide increased fuel economy.
Coming to the technical specifications, the facelifted Superb would be powered with the same engine options which includes 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine, a 2.0-litre TDI and a 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine mated with a six speed manual or a seven speed DSG transmission.
