As already read by our dear readers in our previous posts this week, Renault is now preparing to introduce two new cars into the Indian market which would include a compact MPV and an entry level small car in the second half of 2015. Thanks to the spy shots obtained from one of Team BHP member, the Un-camouflaged Renault’s Grand Scenic MPV was spotted probably on the Bangalore-Chennai Highway.
As per the reports obtained, Renault’s upcoming 7 seater MPV is expected to enter the production towards the end of this year or early next year with sales commencing in 2015. The upcoming Renault’s MPV is expected to compete the likes of Honda Mobilio, Toyota Innova and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian market. The Grand Scenic is already on sales in UK and is expected to be available in the Indian market with the price tag of around INR 20 lakhs.
Some reports also say that the spotted Grand Scenic MPV might be imported in order to test it in the Indian roads. But the question is whether the Indian buyers are ready to buy the premium MPV with the price tag much higher than the MPVs currently on sale in the Indian market. Do write us in your view of what you think about this vehicle.
