After the launch of current traditional Nissan Micra back in 2010 , Nissan has finally come up with a midlife facelift. The first modified car was spotted near a shopping center in Thailand , although it had been brought there for shooting the promotional videos and for testing purpose. The new Micra has been given excellent styling treatment such as new grill hinting chrome highlights,triangular fog lamp housing instead of the old round one, fresh set of tail lamp clusters along with new rear bumper.
Apart from the exterior changes, one can expect no changes to the technical specifications i,e its petrol version comes with the same 3 cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine with a maximum torque of 104 Nm at 75 bhp, whereas the diesel hatch back is loaded with 4-cylinder 105 litre engine with a maximum torque of 160 Nm at 64 bhp.
Nissan is expected to introduce X-tronic automatic transmission to compete with the other mid range cars of Maruti, Hyundai , Honda etc .
