Spied – 2014 Mercedes E-Class dropped camouflage in Spain

2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG

Just yesterday we brought you almost all details of the 2014 Mercedes E-Class, now the firstever uncamouflaged picture of the same has hit the web today. Thanks to Spanish website Autofaci.es reader named Victor Gutierrez Poza for clicking the picture, according to him the picture was taken from his hotel room in Madrid, Spain; while the car was being shot for a TV Commercial.

From the above images, we can clearly say this has E63 AMG model as it sports Red colored brake calipers, big alloy wheels and enlarged air intake vents on the front bumper. Besides these, other changes incorporated on the 2014 model are new headlamps which do away with the twin headlamp effect, new front grille & bonnet together with re-styled bumpers, doors and fenders. These changes are more than enough for a mid-life facelift.

However, the biggest news for now revealed by Autofacil.es is the availability of a brand new Renault-Nissan sourced 1.6-litre DCi turbo diesel engine which could be introduced in the 2014 line-up probably on a cut price E-Class diesel model.  The global debut of the 2014 Mercedes E-Class facelift will be held at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show in November on 13th April, 2013.
