Already a powerful performance SUV, the Porsche Macan Turbo in standard guise delivers 400 hp and 550 Nm of torque, sending it from 0 to 100 KMPH in 4.8 seconds (4.6 with Sport Chrono), and onwards to a top speed of 266 KMPH.
Addition to this the new Performance Package, the factory-enhanced Macan Turbo’s muscle is strengthened to the tune of 440 hp and 600 Nm of torque, 40 hp and 50 Nm more than before. 0-100 sprint is now reduced by 0.4 second to 4.4 seconds, but its top speed has been raised by 6 KMPH to 272 KMPH. With Sport Chrono included as standard in the Performance Package, Sport Plus mode hastens the 80-120 KMPH acceleration benchmark to 2.9 seconds, an improvement of 0.2 seconds.
The Performance Package brings chassis upgrades, too. Front brake disc diameter is now 390 mm, 30 mm larger than the standard Macan Turbo, and the uprated discs are gripped by 6-piston calipers. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) lowers the Macan Turbo 15 mm from before, while the 10 mm-lower optional air suspension (a lowering margin 5 mm less than on PASM) offers self-levelling and ride height adjustment.
Visually setting the Performance Package-equipped Macan Turbo from lesser variants is the Turbo Exterior package, which includes 21-inch wheels in the 911 Turbo design, LED main headlights with PDLS Plus and black styling elements. The theme carries on inside with the Turbo Interior Package, bringing a black leather interior with Alcantara elements, colour appliqué and carbon-fibre elements in various places, and door entry guards with logo illumination.
The Macan Turbo equipped with the Performance Package sits at the top of the Macan lineup, and is priced Rs. 1,40,58,000 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
