Next-gen Honda Jazz/Fit

Jazz Hybrid made its official debut in Thailand with its name as Jazz Hybrid which is called as Jazz Fit in U.S. It has been paired with a 88 horse power gas engine and a 14 horse power electric motor which uses an average of 4.7 liters of fuel to cover 100 Kms .

Honda’s Managing Director Mr Dave Hodgetts reported that Honda Jazz/Fit is going to become one of the biggest attractions in the Tokyo Motor Show later this November. He also stated that this car is going to hit the global markets within a year. The wheelbase has been increased by 6 cm with no change in already provided  roomy cabin earlier. Honda wants to hit the global market by 2017 considering small cars as their main source.

Changes also comprises of triangular stoplight clusters, boot space increased by 30 liters, triangular reflectors slipped to the bumpers for increasing the safety at night. In India, we expect the Jazz to borrow a 1.5-litre EarthDreams diesel engine from the upcoming Honda Brio Amaze. The Jazz was pulled out of the Indian market last month after sales of the petrol-powered hatchback continued to dip even with a mild-facelift and a price slash proving unhelpful.

The next-gen Honda Jazz is set to begin production in the first half of 2014. Thus, we speculate the new Jazz to be launched in India by Diwali-2014.
