The 2012 Auto Expo is touted to be the biggest Auto Expo yet with about 50 auto companies both national and international eager to showcase their line-ups to the host of visitors expected to throng the halls. The 2012 edition of the Auto Expo will see the launch of 60 new cars and 8 new bikes. This number is much more than the last event.
To make the event flow smoothly, the visitor limit has been capped to ensure that people don’t collide over each other. Secondly and most importantly, ticket sales have been regulated and are purchased online through Bookmyshow.com (BMS). BMS is the official ticketing partner for the Auto Expo 2012. The 2012 Auto Expo will be held from the 7th to the 11th of January, 2012 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Show timings are from 10 AM to 6 PM and tickets can be booked here.
The Show will be operated by International Trade Promotion Organization where about 30,000 tickets will be issued per day to avoid any disorder. Visitors using passes would be restricted to 1 lakh. Mr. Rajive Kaul, Chairman of the committee said that it was necessary to ensure limited numbers be allowed in as this would ensure safety besides less chaos at the show.
2012 Auto Expo Ticket Prices –
- Weekdays – Rs. 150/-
- Weekends – Rs. 200/-
- VIP (9-11 January) – Rs. 500/-
Spectators alike will be able to view auto products from over 1500 companies from 24 countries who will be showcasing their products. The New Delhi Auto Show is said to be the costliest show in the world with rentals at Rs.9,000 per sq meter for Indian companies and Rs.13,500 per sq meter for international companies.
