The leading bike manufacturing company, Yamaha, displayed its two new editions of the Yamaha R15 at the recently concluded 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Now these two models have been released for sale by the company. The stock of these two models is very limited and it has been reported that only about 500 units of each of them will be up for sale. The two editions can be booked at any of the Yamaha dealers as all of them are allowing the registrations for these versions of the R15 to be made at their showrooms. The Yamaha bikes have always been a craze among the youth because of their stylish and stunning looks but the Yamaha R15 goes a step further in terms of stunning and dynamic looks in the released limited edition version. These two limited edition models have been named as the Fiery Red Special Edition and the WGP 50th Anniversary Edition. The Fiery Red Special edition version is priced at Rs 1.10 lakhs whereas the cost for the WGP 50th Anniversary Edition has been fixed at Rs. 1.11 lakhs (ex-showroom,Delhi).
It is to be noted that the majority of the modifications that have been made to the two new editions of 2012 have been entirely cosmetic and in looks. The aspects related to the mechanical portion of the bikes are still quite the same as they were before. The yamaha R15 is still supported by a 150cc of liquid cooled engine. This engine generates a power of 17PS and a maximum torque of 15Nm. Although both the editions are good in their own ways, still the Fiery Red edition seems to be somewhat outclassed by the WGP 50th Anniversary Edition because the latter has extremely elegant looks which provide it an outstanding style and class. However, the Red and White Yamaha R15 has been given an edge over these two models by most of the experts. Now the only thing that needs to be seen is how the buyers react to the R15 which has attractive looks in all the available colours.
