Audi India will launch the all new Audi TT Coupe on March 23, 2012.  The all new Audi TT facelift will be replacing the existing version of the car that was launched in the Indian market way back in year 2007. Apart from this a luxury car maker will launch atleast 3 new models including new A4 sedan. The company also plans to expand production capacity at its plant in Aurangabad for rolling out two new products

The newer version of Audi TT is about 2 cm long as compared to its predecessor, whereas the other dimensions like height and width have been kept same as before. Also, the front end of this new TT has been vamped up with a totally different styling scheme. The bumper, grille and headlamps are new, and the fog lights are redesigned with LED day time running lights. The rear end of the new Audi TT is rendered with new taillights and diffuser. The sides of the car have maintained the iconic coupe lines that provide the car in instant blaze.

In the international market, the Audi TT coupe is available in number of engine options such as, a 1.8-liter TSI turbo petrol engine that drives 160 BHP of power and 250 Nm of torque, a 2-liter TFSI turbo petrol producing 211 BHP power and 350 Nm torque and 2-liter TDI turbo diesel driving a power of 170 BHP and a torque of 350 Nm. The transmission type would also have an option of a six speed manual gearbox and a six speed dual clutch DSG automatic gearbox. The top end-models would come affixed with the famous Quattro all wheel drive system. In order to keep the car light-weight a lot of aluminum has been used in its formation.

In India, it is expected that the new Audi TT coupe model will be offered with the 2-liter TFSI petrol engine version of the Audi TT sportscar which will be brought to India as Completely Built Unit (CBU). Because of the recent developments, the price this car will be affected too. Since the customs duty on the CBU imports has increased from 60 percent to 75 percent the Audi TT is expected to be a bit more expensive. The 2012 Audi TT will be the first car this year that Audi will release on the roads and after that the Q3 crossover will be rolled out which is an entry level offering that will compete with the BMX X1.
