There have been quite a lot of rumors surfacing online about the soon to be launched 2011 Toyota Corolla Altis. First in line was a piece saying that the new Corolla would be getting a new 1.6 lit engine which was soon put to rest by Toyota by issuing a statement which said that apart from one major change to the gearbox, there would be no other engine changes.
Now what is interesting about this piece of information released by Toyota is that the new 2011 Corolla Altis will be getting a new 7-Speed CVT automatic gearbox which will replace the traditional 4-Speed auto box.
Apart from this, the new 2011 Corolla Altis will get a new grille, bumper and headlights as a part of a routine facelift. The new Corolla is expected to be launched in India by the end of next month and will be on sale with two engine options : the 1.8 Liter VVT petrol and 1.4
