HM-Mitsubishi has quietly launched the BS4 compliant Pajero. The company has decreased the power of the SUV to make it comply with stricter emission norms. The 2.8 liter IDI Turbo Diesel engine now produces 108 Bhp and 260 Nm, a full 10 Bhp and 32 Nm lower than the older version.
The price will however remain the same or even go up due to the extra work done on the SUV for it to meet emission norms (read emission control devices under the bonnet). All in all, it looks like the Pajero SUV is on its last legs with only the most hardcore of Pajero fans perhaps willing to buy the underpowered, over priced but still highly capable true blue off roader.
