Maruti Suzuki is keen to expand its footprint in the UV segment in the next couple of years. That is why the company has lined up a few UVs, which would be launched at that time. One of them will be the crossover version of the Ertiga, likely to be name the Ertiga X.
A couple of rendered images have a match on the in Internet indicating that the car will be based on the next generation Ertiga. These images show the car in body cladding, car roof railing and a distinctive silver lining on the lower part of the bumpers. The next-generation Ertiga is also said to be launched next-year, that in August.
Maruti has codename the car ‘Maruti YHB’ (next-gen Ertiga). The crossover may be known AS the ‘Maruti YHB derivative’. Bhoot casual employee 1.5-litre Diesel engine, as seen on the Ciaz, developed in-house by Maruti not long ago.
Features may include LED headlamps and tail lamps, adjustable ORVMs, rear AC vents, touch screen infotainment system and so on. It looks likely that both of these cars will be priced aggressively by Maruti. It may look like an exciting model to watch out for.
