These are the very first pictures revealing the rear design of the new Mahindra KUV100 that will launch on 15th January, 2015 have surfaced online. Bookings for the smallest and most affordable M&M SUV have commenced at Rs 10,000.
Spotted probably at a dealer yard recently, the KUV100 was seen completely undisguised, revealing interesting design and the rear design of this little SUV which until now was kept a secret. Looking at alloy wheels, chrome elements and infotainment system, the variant is likely to be top-of-the-line K8 trim.
The major highlight of the KUV100 is the front seat accommodating for 3 passengers to make this compact SUV a six-seater. The passenger seat gets an armrest which can be pulled up to accommodate one extra person. Also note that the gearstick is mounted on the dashboard to provide legroom for the third person.
There will be two new engines: an mFalcon 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine offering 82 hp peak power and an mFalcon 1.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine offering 77 hp power. Both engines are mated to 5-speed manual gearbox, sending power to the front-wheels.
