Lamborghini’s recently unveiled RWD (Rear-Wheel-Drive) Huracan LP 580-2 at the on-going 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, launched in India at a price of Rs. 2.99 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Huracan LP 580-2 is a successor for the RWD Gallardo LP550-2. Although the looks like a standard Huracan, but there are new front air intakes, re-designed rear bumpers and 19-inch “Kari” rims wrapped with Pirelli PZeros specially developed for the RWD car. The car loses-out on the movable rear spoiler. But comes fitted with the latest Lamborghini Infotainment System II, with a 12.3-inch high res TFT instrument panel.
Powered by a 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 572 BHP and 540 Nm mated to 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its top speed is 320 km/h. This car can propel to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 10.1 seconds. It is 33 kg lighter than the four-wheel drive version weighing 1,389 kg and has a combined fuel efficiency figure of 8.4 kmpl.
The company claims that the Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 has been designed and engineered to provide perfect rear-wheel driving fun.
