Isuzu India drops new teaser of a 2021 D-Max V-Cross pickup

Isuzu are in line to introduce the next generation of their pick-up truck, the D-Max V-Cross to the Indian market. The Japanese automaker has recently teased the model on their India website, albeit for a short while. Due to that, we can expect the launch of the new D-Max V-Cross to happen sooner than expected.

The next generation of the D-Max V-Cross was spotted undergoing its testing phase here earlier this year. This has led to speculations regarding its launch, which could be taking place next year. Now with the recent teaser coming out, there is a good chance of the D-Max V-Cross being launched here before the end of 2020.

The next generation of the pick-up truck will be the same as the one which will be going sale in Thailand soon. It was first revealed there last year and carries a host of changes both on the exterior as well as the interior. On the exterior, it will feature a bigger grille having a few chrome accents on it along with a set of LED headlamps and tail-lamps.

The interior will be revised and the next generation of the pick-up truck will be taller and longer than the one on sale now. It will also receive a few handy additions in terms of design such as dual fog lamps, newer skid plates and a revised set of alloy wheels. On the engine front, Isuzu will be upgrading their engine here to the BS-VI emission norms soon.

This will be the 3.0 litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol undergoing an update for the D-Max V-Cross. The given engine makes 188 BHP of power and 450 Nm of torque. It will be coming mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The given motor will take the place of the 1.9 litre diesel engine, which was phased out by the company in the wake of the emission norms. Details regarding its launch could be revealed here sooner than rather later. The next generation D-Max V-Cross could be priced at around Rs.18 lakh when it does eventually land here.
