With the launch of the new 2021 Hyundai i20 round the horizon, Hyundai have currently started preparing for the same. The next-gen i20 is scheduled to officially launch here by the end of the year and there is a lot of hype surrounding it. This is because the upcoming premium hatchback promises to be one of the most important launches to be taking place here in recent times.
Hyundai had already launched the next-gen Hyundai i20 in various markets across Europe, thereby receiving a positive response by the customers till now. We have now learnt that Hyundai are offering attractive discounts on the outgoing model here. This is in a bid to make space for the new i20 by clearing out the remaining stocks of the older generation model.
It is said that the current-gen Hyundai i20 is offered here with a discount of Rs. 50,000. In addition to that, there is also a discount of Rs. 20,000 in the form of exchange bonuses and Rs. 5,000 for corporate/ POI customers. Thus, this stretches the discount rate to Rs. 75,000 for a given corporate customer.
It is to be noted that the offer is not available on the top of the line Magna+ trim. Regardless of this, we can expect a very good offer to be available on the car after visiting a nearby Hyundai showroom. There is reportedly talk of Hyundai accepting bookings for the 2021 Hyundai i20, albeit in an unofficial manner.
Though Hyundai are yet to confirm that, we can be assured of the automaker clarifying on the matter soon. The next generation of the i20 is expected to cause a stir in the segment after it gets eventually launched here. It will be up against the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Tata Altroz and the Volkswagen Polo in the premium hatchback segment.
With its arch rival, the Baleno feeling a bit dated now and the newly launched Altroz getting things moving, Hyundai have their task cut out in a segment that has grown in leaps and bounds. The new 2021 Hyundai i20 is expected to be having a list of clever features and a powerful turbocharged petrol motor to go with it. All of that could be wrapped up in a pretty affordable price which could surely entice customers to Hyundai showrooms.
