Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched its entry-level 110cc motorcycle, the Dream Yuga in Mumbai. The 110cc motorcycle is priced at Rs 44,642 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 48,028 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The company has also announced to rope in Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador.
Dream Yuga from HMSI is powered by a 4-stroke, air cooled, 109cc engine which generates maximum power of 9 bhp@8,000 rpm and maximum torque of 9Nm @ 6000 rpm. It comes with 4 speed transmission and self start as an option. The commuter bike claims to be a fuel efficient vehicle which provides a mileage of 72kmpl and it also includes an intelligent ignition control system which works according to the increased torque load. The bike is available in five colours and the three variants are differentiated by spoke wheels, alloys and a self start system
It is an ideal bike for daily commuting and with its tubeless tyres, maintenance free batteries and viscous air filters it is definitely suited for the masses. Honda says that they want the Dream Yuga to be the biggest selling two wheeler model in the world and these features will give it an edge over the competition. The Dream Yuga competes with the likes of the Bajaj Discover, Hero MotoCorp Passion Pro, Splendor Pro and the Yamaha YBR.
