Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has already discontinued the dispatches of the BS-IV compliant Activa 5G (old model). Now a leaked document reveals the upcoming Honda Activa 6G’s technical details.
A BS6 compliant engine will be the major highlight for the Activa 6G. The leaked documents suggest the new model will feature Honda Eco Technology (HET) programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI). Also we will not be surprised, if the Activa 6G takes advantage of Honda Enhanced Smart Power (eSP), a new silent start system for ACG and the Idling Stop System – features already seen on the BS-VI Honda Activa 125.
The BS-VI Honda Activa will use a fuel-injected 109.51 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that will deliver 5.73 kW or 7.68 BHP of peak power at 8,000 rpm. In comparison, the outgoing (BS-IV) model that uses a carburettored 109.19 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that pumps out 5.86 kW or 8 BHP of maximum power at 7,500 rpm.
The Activa 6G is 1,833 mm in length, 697 mm in width, 1,156 mm in height and the wheelbase is 1,260 mm according to the leaked document. The scooter weighs 283 kg in gross weight. Although the Activa 6G is going to be longer than the outgoing model, it will be smaller and shorter as well. Pricing-wise the upcoming BS-VI Honda Activa 6G will be more costly, than the outgoing model.
