Hero Flash electric scooter launched – Rs. 19,990, 65km range

Hero Flash runs 65km range on a single charge and top speed of 25kph; does not require a riding license or registration.

Featuring a 250 Watt Motor, coupled with a 48-volt, 20 Ah VRLA battery that covers a range of 65 km per charge, while its top speed is 25 km/h. The scooter can be completely charged within 6-8 hours. Being a small capacity electric scooter, the Hero Flash does not require a driving license or registration in order to drive it makes it extremely popular among the young, teenage demography.

The Flash weighs only 87 kgs, helping it score very high on maneuverability. Mag-alloy wheels, telescopic suspension and a full body crash guard will further enhance its popularity among users and drive greater adoption for e-vehicles in the country. Available as a limited edition model with just 2,000 units for sale, the Flash has an introductory price of Rs 19,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Targeted at the teenager, housewives, small traders and senior citizens, the deliveries of the Flash will commence at Delhi dealerships this-week, while the rest of India will get within a month covering all 350 outlets of Hero Electric. The company plans to add an additional 100 dealers in CY2017 to take the figure up to 450 by the year end.
